A2 Cargo coordinated logistics of Lithuanian space satellites

By handling Time&Temperature sensitive or oversized shipments with various requirements we get used to responsibility, assessment of risks and careful selection of routes, suppliers or materials. However the handling of space satellites that are now flying in the Earth Orbit was absolutely amazing and challenging to the whole team of logistics professionals at our Vilnius office. We have started to design the logistics chain more than a month before start of transportation based on: shipper’s provided deadline, selection of route and suitable product of airline, IATA’s requirements of proper documentation, marking and labeling of Li-On batteries and finally insurer’s requirements for proper packaging solution.

Thanks to the knowledge and efforts of our team and fluent communication and support of all involved suppliers the satellites were safely and timely delivered to India Space Research Organization’s Satish Dhawan Space Center. On 1st April 2019 satellites were uplifted to the Earth Orbit. We are thankful to our customers who trusted our knowledge and experience and appointed A2 Cargo team to handle this great project.
