Pharmaceutical Air Freight and Logistics Excellence | A2 Cargo Story Since 1994
A2 Cargo is a team of professionals specializing in temperature-controlled pharmaceutical air freight, Cold Chain Solutions, specialized packaging, 3PL, Spare Part Logistics, Contract Logistics, Storage, and Inventory Management services across the Baltic countries and worldwide. As part of the Freight Management Services Group operating throughout Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia, we leverage our strong network partnerships with leading global freight management and contract logistics providers to deliver comprehensive GDP-compliant transportation and logistics solutions.
Our Journey
Our story began in 1994 when we established our first branch in Vilnius. Initially focused on air freight, we quickly became Lithuania’s leading air cargo company. Subsequently, to meet our customers’ growing demands, we expanded our capabilities by launching a sea freight division in 1999. That same year, we also opened a branch in Riga, Latvia. And in 2015, we extended our operations to Tallinn, Estonia.
A pivotal moment came in 2006 when we embarked on our temperature-controlled transportation journey by participating in a large clinical trials project. This breakthrough project not only marked our entry into pharmaceutical logistics but has remained active to this day, continuously evolving with increasingly sophisticated requirements and capabilities.
While pharmaceutical logistics has become our key competitive advantage and area of specialized expertise, we continue to provide comprehensive freight forwarding services for all types of cargo. Today, we cooperate with all major sea shipping lines, enabling us to offer both air and sea freight solutions, including full container loads (FTL) and partial loads (LCL). Additionally, we have accumulated extensive experience in project cargo management and transporting OOG, oversized cargo, special freight in non-standard containers, and oversized cargo on ship decks.
Pharmaceutical Air Freight Excellence
While A2 Cargo started as an air freight forwarder, we have evolved into a specialized pharmaceutical air freight and logistics provider with particular expertise in temperature-controlled air transportation. Our core competency lies in handling time and temperature-sensitive pharmaceutical shipments, ensuring complete cold chain integrity throughout the entire journey. Moreover, we maintain strict GDP (Good Distribution Practice) compliance across all our operations, guaranteeing that medicines and healthcare products are consistently stored and transported according to the highest international standards.
Our specialized pharmaceutical services include bio-pharmaceutical logistics, clinical trial logistics, and A2 Time Critical product for urgent medical shipments. Furthermore, we offer customized packaging solutions specifically designed for pharmaceutical products, including validated temperature-controlled packaging systems that maintain required temperature ranges during air transport. Additionally, our team undergoes continuous GDP training and certification, ensuring every staff member understands the critical nature of pharmaceutical handling, cold chain management, and regulatory compliance requirements.
Beyond pharmaceuticals, we also provide project forwarding, service parts centers, aviation spare logistics, AOG transportation services, and dangerous goods handling. As a licensed customs broker, we offer seamless customs clearance services. Through our experienced freight professionals, broad pharmaceutical expertise, and strategic partnerships, we develop tailored solutions to satisfy each customer’s unique requirements. As a result, we can offer unlimited pharmaceutical logistics solutions to destinations worldwide.
