Dry Ice shipment to Boston
In the field of logistics for biotechnology customers, the need for seamless transportation of temperature sensitive materials is critical. Biotech materials, such as biological samples or vaccines, demand stringent temperature control throughout the shipping process to maintain their integrity. Dry ice, solid carbon dioxide at extremely low temperatures, serves as a reliable coolant. By packaging these materials in dry ice, their temperature remains consistently low, mitigating the risk of degradation or spoilage during transit. This specialized packaging solution ensures that the valuable biotech materials arrive at their destination in optimum condition for further analysis or application.
Recently A2 Cargo successfully executed another air freight operation from Vilnius to Boston, focusing on the specialized packaging of biotech materials using dry ice and the seamless logistics involved in ensuring their safe and timely arrival. The challenge our team faced with this shipment was the volume of materials to be packed into dry ice. However long-time experience in logistics and network of reliable partners helped us to prepare Good Distribution Practice (GDP) compliant packaging in line with IATA and Lufthansa regulations. Over 200 kg of Dry Ice were used for maintaining required temperature range. More over all of shipped materials were packed into a single pallet-size-shipper in order to minimize risk of getting lost or separated while in transit. An advanced pre-check of documentation against US customs and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) requirements, live communication with partners and professional approach of all stake holders assured this shipment was delivered to site just few hours upon arrival to USA.
