Delivery of Bengal cat Cezar from Lithuania to Chicago

Start well ahead departure

More than 100 days before desired departure date a proud owner of Bengal kitty Cezar contacted A2 Cargo specialists for advise and quotation. It took some time to run all necessary check against requirements at origin and destination and receiving green light from all involved parties. Thankfully there was plenty of time and process ran as smooth and stress-less as possible.

Bottleneck – transportation documents

Majority of efforts during preparation phase were put into obtaining veterinary certificate. Not only it is a challenging procedure to submit one it also requires specialized data to be filled in long before the flight. Some of that information might be not clear or even not available. However joined forces of experienced freight forwarder and persistent owner are not to be stopped. Check everything in advance

At the time of first contact Cezar was 5 months old Bengal kitty, while on a day of departure he was already 8th month old. Despite the preparation only added 3 months, but the kitty grew up. Few hours before expected departure Cezar shows up at Vilnius airport ready for the journey. Customs cleared, documents signed, dully labeled kitty awaited final check before being loaded on board, when it turned out the shipping box appears to be too small. Indeed the box remains the same, but our passenger grew too fast and too much for it’s initial crate.

Joined forces make it all

Last minute challenge was handled by all involved parties playing their crucial roles. Postponed cut off time, priority terminal handling, re-issuance of airwaybill and last, but not least – delivery of new suitable transportation box within minutes. Everyone made an extra step and so Cezar left Lithuania to USA in time and under schedule.

Happy explorer

The next day Cezar arrived to Chicago where professional pet handlers were expecting it with required documents and certificates. It didn’t take more than few hours until Cezar met his owner. Few hours later after some rest and recovery Cezar started to explore its new environment far away from his motherland.
